TYPE OF PRACTICE

Andrew's practice falls under three broad areas. RTA litigation, employers liability and occupiers/public liability. Simply put, cases can vary from credit hire arguments to fraud issues, including vast experience of LVI arguments; the applicability of statutory regulations and reasonable compliance, disease litigation or disputes over causation of injury.

Andrew also appears before Inquests, and a recent interesting example, involved a helicopter crash with a trainee pilot. He also advises on Judicial Review Matters.

PARTICULAR SPECIALIST INTEREST

RTA/MIB cases involving motorcycles (see below).

Fraudulent RTA claims involving ghost passengers, staged accidents, either individually or by groups and LVI issues.

Travel Law: claims arising out of the Package Tour Regulations and accidents abroad from air, sea or road use.

LEVEL OF WORK UNDERTAKEN

A split of Fast Track and Multi Track value work for both Claimants and Defendants. An average month will involve simple RTA cases through to drafting high value schedules in complex cases. Recently settled two seven figure claims at JSM, concerning EL claims and quantum arguments over loss of a chance and bionic prosthetics. A quick turnaround on paperwork is provided. Andrew is also happy to assist with lectures/training on his areas of expertise.

Andrew is a keen motorcyclist who enjoys trackdays. Riding experience has helped immeasurably in various RTA cases because of his understanding of biking roadcraft and the performance of modern sportsbikes.
