
Jennifer was formerly a solicitor practising in the North West of England and has worked exclusively within the field of Family Law since 1996. During her time as a solicitor, Jennifer became a partner with responsibility for managing a busy family practice before transferring to the Bar to concentrate on advocacy. Jennifer also became a fully accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel in 2002, representing children of all ages in complex proceedings, including those with the capacity to instruct their own solicitor.
She therefore has experience and expertise well beyond her year of call.
Jennifer has continued to expand her wide ranging family practice, regularly representing clients in both Children Act and Matrimonial cases.
Jennifer has delivered lectures and training to local authorities and solicitors.

Jennifer has continued to expand her wide ranging family practice, regularly representing clients in both Matrimonial and Children Act cases.
Jennifer has for many years advised and represented clients in financial cases arising in matrimonial proceedings and cohabitation/ TLATA disputes, financial injunctive relief and Schedule 1 Children Act applications. She also deals with cases of domestic violence and proceedings for Injunctions under Part IV of the Family Law Act.
Formerly a member of Resolution, Jennifer is committed to assisting clients wherever possible to adopt a conciliatory and constructive approach to dealing with family disputes.
In her public law practice, Jennifer represents parents and extended family members, local authorities and children alike and has undertaken increasingly complex cases including those involving serious/ life threatening non accidental injury cases and sexual harm. She has represented many vulnerable clients as well as those for whom the Official Solicitor has been appointed to act. As well as dealing with Adoption proceedings, Jennifer’s private law expertise has included the more complex residence and contact disputes involving parental alienation, intractable disputes and other cases where the court has had to appoint a Guardian to represent the interests of the children.
