
Nicole Erlen is a former solicitor, admitted in 1979. She is a family law specialist with particular experience in public law cases, having been a member of the Law Society Children Panel from inception. She has written and presented training courses to social workers, children’s guardians and workers in the voluntary sector as well as solicitors and para-legals, both in private practice and local authorities. She has taught on the LLB course at the University of Sheffield and has been involved in the development of a publication and tools to enhance good social work practice.
