PARTICULAR SPECIALIST INTEREST

Employment tribunal work - acting for both applicants and respondents in discrimination cases on grounds of sex, race and disability. Rosie also undertakes an increasing amount of unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal and pay complaints.

LEVEL OF WORK

From early in practice has been involved representing both Applicants and Respondents in discrimination cases of some legal complexity.

REPORTED/IMPORTANT CASES

2nd Junior for Defendants on Sowden v. Lodge/Crookdake v. Drury CA LTL 22/10/2004 at the Court of Appeal, considering the extent of the Defendant's duty to pay for care and accommodation where there is a statutory duty on the local authority to provide the same.

Rosie regularly represents both Claimants and Defendants in all aspects of fast track litigation. Experienced at dealing with interim applications and CMCs at multi track level. Experience as Second Junior at the Court of Appeal on maximum severity case of considerable legal importance and complexity.

SPECIALIST INTERESTS

As a former trade journalist in the pharmaceutical industry, Rosie has knowledge of products and industry issues and therefore an interest in product liability work.
