Verdicts announced in R v Khan, Noorzai, Basharat, Rob & Ors

Nine men were, today, jailed over the sustained sexual abuse of a 14 year old girl.
Aftab Khan (defended by Jeffrey Samuels QC) was jailed for seven years, Ahmed Noorzai (defended by Bunty Batra) was jailed for four years and Mohammed Basharat was jailed for two years. Their friends, Abid Khaliq (eight months); Najibullah Safi, Atif, Hassan and; Mohammed Khan (each for four years) and Mohammed Anwar Safi (31 months) were also convicted.
Abdul Rob (defended by David Bruce) was acquitted.
